Glamping is a mashup of the words glamour and camping. It describes a style of camping with amenities and, in some cases, resort-style services not usually associated with “traditional” camping. Glamping has become particularly popular with 21st century tourists seeking the luxuries of hotel accommodation alongside the escapism and adventure recreation of camping.
I first came across this glamping movement during my travels to Australia and got immediately hooked. Since I LOVE the outdoors, but don’t really wanna sacrifice the comforts of home, glamping exactly meets all my needs. Then, a few weeks ago, I was introduced to the folks from Glamping Inspektor. There they tell you everything you need to know about the experience, how to prepare for your trip, which aspects to consider when traveling with your family and where to find the best and most unique spots. I totally digg it, already spent a few hours on their site and found some great spots that made it on my bucket list. <3
Travel tip: Tyrol at Lake Natters
Lake Natters is located in the west of the municipality of Natters near Innsbruck. Here they created the first glamping park in Austria and it is so quiet and peaceful. You can simply relax and refuel your energy.
Also, the surroundings of Lake Natters have got much to offer for those who love to be active. There are numerous paths for joggers, Nordic Walkers and hikers – all surrounded by the beauty of mother nature. No chance for boredom!
