Zalon is Zalando’s personal shopper service, which was launched in 2015. Since spring is coming up and I wanted to pimp my wardrobe, I decided to try their service.

Zalon will always help you find the perfect outfit for any occasion. Their free fashion advice platform was created by renowned experts from the field of fashion and styling. Whether you need a new outfit for a special occasion, or if you would simply like give your wardrobe an upgrade, the stylists from their network will create customized outfits just for you – they can choose from the over 130.000 pieces and 1.500 brands available on the Zalando store.

The best part: You don’t commit to anything before receiving the outfits at home and trying them out. If you are not completely convinced with any of the items from your outfit, you can easily return them without any extra costs.

Zalon – your personal stylist on demand

Using the Zalon app makes your personal shopping experience pretty easy. Simply fill in their style questionnaire in the app, select an occasion, pick a stylist, and you’ll soon receive a new outfit at home. Through the app, you can chat with your stylist, ask about the latest fashion trends, give your stylist feedback regarding your last order, and even order a new outfit.

And if you would like to have a specific item in a different color or size, you can easily re-order single articles with their new reorder feature. – Pretty cool and easy!

My outfits

The idea is pretty cool, especially since I hate to go shopping, spending hour after hour trying things on and not finding what I want. But my first experience with Zalon wasn’t a perfect fit, either. I sent the stylist all my specs including my measurements and German dress size. Thus, I was hoping to receive the pieces in my perfect size.

Unfortunately, that did not work out so that I received a German size 32 instead of 34/36. Also, I did not want to order all suggested items, especially not the shoes. I wrote this in my chat, but this did not work out, either.

So, in the end I only kept two pieces and am still frustrated that I don’t have a new wardrobe for spring. I kept the leather jacket from Vero Moda and the Valentino clutch. I wasn’t sure about the dress from rue de femme – it just wasn’t love at first sight.
