Today I had a VERY bad run. Unfortunately, they occur more often than we think, but over time we learn to take the good with the bad. On women’s running I read about these 10 questions to ask yourself in order to help identify why your run was bad and tried to answer them:

1. How many hours of sleep did I get last night? – about 5

2. How much sleep have I gotten all week? – not more than 6 hours per night

3. Am I stressed about work more so than normal? – oh YES

4. Am I dealing with unusual amount of family stress? – nope

5. Did I workout too many days in a row? – nope, I always had a break in between

 6. When was my last rest day? – Saturday

7. Did I hydrate well and eat my normal healthy diet this week? – nope

8. Were my expectations for my run reasonable? – yes

9. Did I do a proper warm-up before jumping into my workout? – hm, okay, not really

10. Am I just being too hard on myself? – sometimes

Just by checking the list, I already got my answer: I simply need to take better care of myself. I need to get more sleep, eat healthy and need to make some changes at work. I will do better next week!
