We get hundreds of emails per week on the latest beauty, health and fitness trends, especially since this is the time to get ready for bikini season. If you wanna look great during the summer months, you should give yourself AND your metabolism time to adjust to a new, healthy way of living. I am currently working on that myself with a strict diet and loads and loads of exercise. Somehow, it has never even crossed my mind, to go for the easy way by choosing either liposuction or other non-surgical weight loss treatments.
However, a co-author of mine, Katie, decided to try a new method called CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting uses cold energy to permanently destroy fat cells. The CoolSculpting machine works by pulling your fat bulge into a device that has two cooling plates. The fat is held by a strong vacuum. The cooling plates are activated to the specific temperature where fat cells are vulnerable and die, and your skin, nerves, blood vessels, etc are fine. This process takes an hour per area. Multiple areas can be done at one time in some cases.
Katie scheduled several appointments for April and we decided to make a little challenge out of it. On March 31st we will both see a nutrionist and personal trainer for a check-up and will set the same goal regarding fat reduction, muscle gain and possible weight loss. Then, for four weeks, we will strictly follow our plan and will compare the results afterwards: Katie, using CoolSculpting and going for some dietary change, me, doing it the “traditional” way – less calories, healthy food and a daily exercise routine.
We are not sure how it goes, but will certainly keep you posted after our little challenge ;-)
