For our little series “Inspiring Friday” we decided to bring you the inside scoop straight from the run way and will introduce our favorite hair fashion looks, starting with Vivienne Westwood Red Label:
Vivienne Westwood Red Label
Mark Hampton, Global Hair Ambassador for TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe
For her AW13 collection Vivienne Westwood was inspired by the provocative and erotically charged high fashion photography of Helmut Newton. This prolific photographer is known for his portrayals of powerful and dominating women and French actress Catherine Deneuve who had a reputation for her depictions of aloof and mysterious heroines.
THE HAIR LOOK
High Glamour Waves and High Power Sweep
The Vivienne Westwood Red Label hair look reflected the modern glamour of a woman who appears beautiful, but strong. sensual and sultry waves fall lightly round the face of the models with long hair, contrasting with the height of the front of the hair, which sweeps back harshly at the root but dropping softly at the ends to frame one side of the face.
Those with shorter hair were coiffed with a smooth quiff, glamorous yet androgynous. The Westwood woman is beautiful, but a force to be reckoned with.
High Glamour Waves
Prep wet hair with TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe Prep Heat Protection Mist to protect from the heat of the styling tongs and give a softer, smoother, finish.
When wet run TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe Glamour Spritz and Shine Liquid Mousse generously through the hair from root to tip.
Blow dry the hair roughly to start with before separating the hair into very small sections and tong. Tong the entire head but don’t leave a parting.
Now, have fun experimenting and enjoy this amazing weekend!
