Get the look - Ryan Lo - TONI&GUY HAIR MEET WARDROBE

Yay, it’s Friday and time for another beauty and fashion inspiration by TONI&GUY HAIR MEET WARDROBE — the styling force behind the hair fashion look at Ryan Lo during  London Fashion Week.

Ryan Lo

Mark Hampton, Global Hair Ambassador for TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe

For his AW13 Collection, Ryan Lo was inspired by female icons of ofce wear in pop culture and ideas of female frustration. Ryan’s childhood memories of Japanese anime cartoon ‘Sailor Moon’ also features within the collection’s shapes and prints and add the fantastical element synonymous with Ryan’s design style. The result is a collection that moves from female corporate frustration into explosive evening drama, all fringed with trimmings that are slightly out of this world.

The Bridget Scrunch

The hair look started from an image of frustrated female icon Bridget Jones. This extreme scrunch is inspired by a woman who has woken up, rushed out of her house to get to work on time and has piled her hair up into a messy bun. For Ryan Lo, Mark Hampton takes this satirical identity to the next level, with a dramatic style crafted with the TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe Creative Collection. Throughout the collection, dependant on the dramatism of the clothes, the hairstyle becomes increasingly creative too — with a glamorized half- up style for evening wear designs.

‘The Ryan Lo style is super fun to create. the key to getting the right look is in the texture, get lots of matte volume into the hair and use the product to separate and dene the sticking up ends of the hair’. – Mark Hampton, Global Hair Ambassador for TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe.

Prep the hair with TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe Prep Volume Plumping Mousse and dry this in with the dryer brushing downwards with a natural bristle cushioned brush. Then, do second and third application of mousse and dry this in for a volumised, straight nish.

Pull the hair into a high messy ponytail, and add texture through the lengths and ends of the hair with TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe Creative Texturising Glue.Next, twist the ponytail around your hand to create the knot and pin to hold. pull the ends of the hair out and add a little more of the Creative Texturising Glue to hold.

This is a great style to add an accessory to, so tie a piece of fabric in a bow or an ontrend scrunchie around the knot to complete the look.

Finish the look with TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe Creative Extreme Hold Hairspray to hold in place all day, or all night.

So, get inspired for the weekend and have fun, trying out this hair look!
